Catholic Social Teaching 101

5 Episodes

CST 101 is a collaborative seven-part video and discussion guide series on Catholic social teaching presented by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Relief Services. The series brings the themes of Catholic social teaching to life and inspires us to put our faith into action. The seven short videos allow viewers to hear from Catholic leaders like Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, President, Caritas Internationalis; Monsignor Ray East, Archdiocese of Washington; Sean Callahan, President and CEO, Catholic Relief Services; and more. Each episode shows the development of a beautiful painted representation of the featured Catholic social teaching, courtesy of Brother Mickey McGrath.
The videos and discussion guides are suggested for use in adult faith formation settings, high school theology classes, lay ministry formation and to prepare groups for service trips. Catechists and teachers can utilize the videos and materials to present Catholic social teaching in an accessible and engaging format that brings our Gospel call to action to life.
